Note from the author: Amaranthine [am-uh-ran-thin] is synonymous with endless. This story will be written without the plan of an ending or a basic story plot. The point of the story is to simply exist. It is for me to enjoy writing and for you to enjoy reading.

“25…26…27…28,” Sira came to decide that she was going to lose some of those extra pounds. She knew it wouldn’t be easy because of her many failed attempts in the past but this time she had a plan.

“73…74…75,” Sira had already been working on her diet. She wasn’t dieting or anything, just changing how much she ate. Instead of eating that second serving she’d only eat one. She was also working on caring a bit more about her appearance. She was putting on make up, straightening her hair, and choosing clothes that flattered her current body shape.

“97…98…99,” There was more that Sira wanted though. Sira wanted to change her body shape. First step was to implement a routine. Tonight she would start with 100 crunches, an exercise she knew would target her abdomen and not be more than she could handle.

“100!” She stood up and looked in the mirror. Ever since she began to care about her appearance, she actually felt pretty.

After blowing herself a kiss she went over to the bed and began to write in her journal. Today it would be all about the guy she had been talking to on the internet. Sira was never great at being social and so most of her interactions were on the internet, but she had begun to really like this guy and was hoping to meet him in person. The pen glided along the paper, her penmanship matching her mood. Her letters flowed and curled; letters were dotted with hearts and her words were more colorful. Sira clearly had her head in the clouds, hoping this was fate. The meeting date wasn’t set, or even mentioned, but her heart floated with the idea of that day. Sira closed her journal and proceeded to do another one-hundred crunches. When the two met she would look her best.
